TotalEnergies is a global multi-energy company that produces and markets energy: oil and biofuels, natural gas and green gases, renewables and electricity. 
We have several business units in the Netherlands. 
TotalEnergies Gas Mobility (TGM), where you will work, is the Company’s dedicated internal competence centre for hydrogen, natural gas and biomethane for mobility and small-scale B2B/industry use. TGM coordinates a network of natural gas and hydrogen stations and is involved in several European joint ventures in hydrogen mobility. The goal is to operate directly or indirectly an increasing number of H2 and CNG stations globally by 2030. Additionally, there are interests in clean energy projects and small-scale LNG initiatives, e.g. in France and the Dominican Republic. 
TGM’s role is to support, advise, share expertise with our colleagues worldwide on these topics.
The Strategy Analyst will report to the Manager Strategy, Public Affairs and Communication at TGM.
 
Your responsibilities
You develop strategic framework elements for the natural gas and hydrogen business in collaboration with affiliates and internal stakeholders. You coordinate activities with central strategy entities at various affiliates, departments, headquarters, and other stakeholders. You regularly inform management about strategic developments in relevant markets. You ensure a consistent and up-to-date database regarding market and business activities. Additionally, you update the database with input data for strategic documentation, market summaries, and carbon footprint calculations. Finally, you aggregate and synthesize market information from external data sources and oversee market studies.
 
What exactly are you going to do 
Look into the growth strategies and economic plans for Hydrogen & Gas Mobility (H2GM) around the globe, covering Natural Gas for Vehicles (NGV), H2 mobility (on- and off-road), and small-scale LNG (for industrial purposes).
Map out both medium and long-term market potential in different world zones as input for the Company’s Long-Term Plans.
Examine current and future market competition wherever the Company is or plans to be active.
Conduct competitor assessments and reviews market developments alongside affiliates and regions to align market projections (One Pager).
Develop the H2GM vision to contribute to TotalEnergies’ Energy Outlook (TEO).
Manage the H2GM tools to calculate the carbon footprint of TotalEnergies’ customers and projects, perform analyses, and update H2GM’s strategy documents based on TEO insights and inputs from internal and external stakeholders.
Evaluate market potential and availability for biomethane, as well as blue and green hydrogen for mobility.
Contribute to drafting of the framework memo for the long-term plan.
Regularly study and update the price buildup and risk management mapping in different countries.
 
The ideal Strategy Analyst
You are sociable and open-minded, enjoying interactions with individuals from various backgrounds and cultures. People trust you with their information. You are reliable and swiftly adapt, building connections both within and outside the organization to gather essential information. You will endeavor to understand various markets, their contexts, and their environments. You have sufficient technical knowledge to ask the right questions.
 
Your skills 
Master’s degree in a technical or business administration field;
Over 3 years’ experience in relevant roles;
Experience in building new businesses, developing business strategies and processes;
Interest in clean energy, well-connected in new energy and public affairs sectors;
Fluency in English is required, and good proficiency in French is highly desirable.
